Alexander Peresvet (September 8, 1380) is a legendary warrior-monk, monk of the Trinity-Sergius Monastery. Together with Rodion Oslabey participated in the Battle of Kulikovo and battled in single combat before the main battle of the hero Chelubey, while perishing himself.
In the Russian Orthodox Church, he is listed as a saint in the ranks of the saints, his memory is celebrated in the Cathedral of the Radonezh Saints, the Cathedral of the Tula Saints on September 22 (October 5).
